| These pages display material submitted by UK square dancers of events where they have been participants. Each event usually takes place during the same month every year and so there are pages for events taking place during the quarters January to March (this page), April to June, July to September and October to December. We have also a page dedicated to particularly special anniversary events involving UK square dancers. |

PIECES OF 8 WEEKEND A Pieces of 8, very popular, open weekend which has never been advertised and caters for a maximum of 10 squares. Dancers attend from all over southern England and generally book for the following year before they leave on the last day. A waiting list operates to cater for last minute cancellations and illness.
The main caller is Rob Branson, with Wendy Shipton doing the more fun aspects and some hash/singing calls. On Sunday morning there is a short open session for "newer" callers to have a go. This is generally limited to 2 callers.
