Background information & notes
As at January 2010, there are 157 square dance clubs comprising the BAASDC. A significant number of clubs provide teaching facilities. The range varies from teaching complete novices the Basic program, to teaching more experienced dancers who are intent on learning  the other programs (Mainstream, Plus, Advanced & Challenge).
Most clubs welcome visitors. They are asked to telephone or email the club before visiting. This is as a courtesy to the club and because:
● the club may not be meeting on that particular occasion,
● the club may be meeting at a different venue,
● the programme danced may vary from occasion to occasion,
● it may be useful to receive detailed directions to the club venue.

 

The BAASDC  Database Manager, Alan Jackson collects, modifies and maintains information about UK square dance clubs. Alan and his wife Jean are founder members of Bubble & Squeak SDC and members of Tudor Squares.
